One step to the End
over 6 years ago – Fri, Jan 26, 2018 at 12:47:41 AM

Dear all!

It is probably last but one KS update before the campaign ends. The update is quite special because there is only 1% left before the end of the campaign and I’m more than excited about that.

Since the beginning of the campaign there was so much going on, it’s hard to make one comprehensive summary without getting you bored. But, let’s try!

One word before I start – I’d like to thank you all so much for all the support and trust you gave, beside all nervous moments and sometimes weak communication on my end. Based on your ongoing feedback we did our best to do our job and improve in what we do.

The campaign has been evaluated differently — by either those who participated in the campaign and those (what really made me really surprised) who were not bakers. In fact, we had here whole range of comments and reviews: from these extremely positive to completely devastating opinions. What’s interesting, majority of comment s(both positives and negatives) were made about the organisation and the communication.

A-Case itself was very successful. The most common opinion is that you didn’t expect that huge capacity in this small bag. And that’s what made me really satisfied with the job – the main feature of my product proved itself in practice. I’m glad that by now I have hundreds of A-Case testers spread across the globe. We all here absolutely loved the photos from your trips, where we have seen the A-Case working in different means of transport and weather conditions. BIG thanks for that!

Of course there were some product improvements suggestions and feedback of „how would I do that differently”. I kept correspondence with all those who tried to find better solutions (e.g. for shelves sliding improvements) and I hope i proved that current A-Case is really well thought product in it’s size and budget limit.

The lesson

Unfortunately, not everything looked like a fairy tale :) And that you probably noticed, we failed at many things it this campaign. When I was starting the campaign I thought I’m ready for every scenario (because of the previous experience on Indiegogo). I thought nothing can get crazy and bad just because I planned it for so long! But BOOM, it happened.

Of course, bad things come in the end. It turned out my planning and calculations looked brilliant on the paper, but in reality they became much more complicated. Every coming month it got worse and worse in terms of keeping the deadline. What made this project a big pain (and a source of whole bunch of gray hair on my head) is the shipment procedures outside EU. Right after getting a „send confirmation” there were absolutely no information where the parcel is (or at what stage it is). I’ve spent hundreds of hours at Post Office, trying to figure out better solution.

Most of you guys were very forgiving (especially the KS veterans!), but some of you got really upset which was visible in the messages in the Kickstarter and private messages or the emails I received. Including those assuming fraud :( Of course I totally understand the frustration and hopefully there were positive comments which really helped me to bring this campaign (almost) to the end.

Everybody loves statistics

Sometimes I read comments about huge delays comparing to campaign planned time-frames. I want to give some insights about the numbers behind the SHIPMENTS. Yes, I highlighted this word, because: As you might noticed, my english writing skill (in the comments) is far away from being perfect (Post updates though are translated by my friend to make it clear ;) ). My writing skill, unfortunately, beside the laugh it would bring on your face, became a source of huge miscommunication. In the campaign’s Time-line section I used term „Delivery” instead of „Shipment” and I was trying to define the time I start sending packages. It took me so much time to realise the mistake I did there …. FACEPALM!

Lesson: Get better in english and pay attention to the details. Communication is everything.

Anyway, let’s move on to the numbers. In total, we had 1845 active backers (those who paid and send their shipment details). In average, we’ve been sending around 260 packages each month. Full numbers available below:

 What’s next?

We’d like to send remaining 25 packages ASAP and start sending the pre-orders pool. Uff, we got to the end,

 Truly Yours,

 Aleksander

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
over 6 years ago – Fri, Dec 22, 2017 at 08:11:58 PM

Dear All!

It was a crazy year, full of positive and negative emotions around this project, full of hope, joy and hard work. Thanks to you all, together we created something big and meaningful for the Gamers from around the world.

Not everything followed the plan and even though there were different plans, there is still a lot of work ahead. Fortunately, most of the work is finished and we are calmer than we were last month.

Thanks to your feedback we know we did something that works, what you guys, players need. We created the unique transportation system for precious miniatures, never met before. We developed light but solid steel frame covered by polyester, waterproof bag giving you guys place on it for your gaming badges and a pocket for all additional stuff. After over a year, we know that A-Case became a really desired product. But for us, the most important is the fact, that you guys find it useful. Seeing your precious miniatures inside makes us really happy!

It's not the time yet for the summaries, since in order to end the campaign we still need to send remaining 12% of the packages. But this update is a perfect place to thank you all once again and wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

"Why can't I see my package tracking status?"
over 6 years ago – Thu, Nov 23, 2017 at 07:18:26 PM

Dear all!

Since this question has appeared very often for some time, I've decided to publish an answer for it here, in a dedicated update. It applies to all packages sent by Polish Post.

"Why can't I see my package tracking status?"

After we send the package to you, the tracking link is sent to you. You are able to track the package only till it leaves Poland. After that, our "nice" Post service, do not show the status at all, it's being delivered without any notification :( And as we and some of you have already experienced it may take up to 3 months. It's a shame, they - Polish Post - admitted that after we've already signed the deal with them, we were promised before that huge delay won't ever happen.

If the tracking link you've received doesn't work for continuose time:

1. Place the package number in the search field

2. Instead of "Search/szukaj", press the button next to:

b) Szukaj przesyłki o podanym numerze w dłuższym okresie (9 miesięcy)

"b) Search for the item with the specified number within the extended period (9 months)"

Sometimes the page gets overloaded, so don't panic that the package is lost, just try again after some time.

Meanwhile few reasons why we made A-Case+;)

Another batch sent!
over 6 years ago – Fri, Nov 17, 2017 at 07:25:06 PM

Since the last update, we've managed to sent 8 waves of packages which gave 103 packages in total. To finish the campaign we need to send remaining ~427 packages. We assume (and we've proven that in the last weeks) that we are able to send 35 packages each day, and we are still willing to finish whole distribution till the end of November this year.

Thanks again for the patience, we are doing our best, and those who have already received their A-Case, let us know if you like it (still, after that long wait-time).

Enjoy your weekend guys!
